A podcast dispelling the myths, stigma and misconceptions surrounding mental health
I started podcasting for selfish reasons: wanting to have a place to store all of the joyfully painful memories from my experiences on a psychiatric ward. It is now my passion and I can't imagine not doing it.
As things progressed, I learned more about mental health: the way it's perceived and the reality of how it is treated in a hospital environment and within the community. I am now at the start of a campaign to change the provision on acute mental health wards, to prevent re-admissions onto mental health wards and to develop public perception of what it means to be a psych patient.
Thank you for finding me, for listening and for hopefully sharing in my desire to permanently change the way we think and care for those with mental health disorders.
